From the 11:15am Mass on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Our Lady of Sorrows in Farmington.
The Vocation Director for the Archdiocese of Detroit was supposed to preach all the Masses this weekend, but he came down with COVID (and he'd doing fine), so Fr. Dave chose to preach about vocations.
First and foremost, we need silence and prayer to hear God's call (vocation, comes from vocare - to call). To attain this silence and to really pray, we need an atmosphere that is conducive to this.
